24 Hour Service/ Cancellation  

FirstChoice Notary is an 24 hour mobile notary service. There is a $30 after hours fee from hours 8pm-8am. Please cancel or reschedule 30 minutes prior to appointment to avoid being charged a $30 cancellation fee. For Real Estate signings with printing services $50 cancellation fee.

What is a Notary Public?

What is a Notary Signing Agent?

A notary signing agent is a notary public that notarizes mortgage documents for borrowers who purchase or refinance their current mortgage. Notary signing agents are impartial witnesses who identify the signer, verify that all documents are signed and dated, notarize the documents, and return the executed loan package to the lender.

What is Electronic Notarization?

Electronic notarization is a process whereby a notary affixes an electronic notary signature and seal information to an electronic document (such as a PDF or Word document). Once affixed to the electronic document, the document is rendered tamper evident such that unauthorized attempts to alter the document will be evident to relying parties. The Electronic Notary also must keep an electronic register of each act performed.

Status of Remote Notarization in North Carolina

Remote Notarization temporary law expired 12/31/21 at 12:01 am. At this time no notaries should be performing remote notarizations in North Carolina.
